Re: Dr Adolf Schwarzenberg
Investigation into Conduct during the War

Your ref. 7.115/V-2 from 23rd January 1946.

To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of the Czechoslovak Republic
in Prague

15th April 1946

The undersigned was in contact with Dr Adolf Schwarzenberg throughout his stay in the United States and can testify that Dr Schwarzenberg always conducted himself as a Czechoslovak and was active particularly in American society, where he spoke out strongly against Nazi Germany. As early as 1941 and 1942 Dr Schwarzenberg made no attempt to conceal his thinking, even though at that time the war situation was very difficult and many of those who today proclaim their so-called democratic thinking kept a guarded silence. Even in those times Dr Schwarzenberg constantly declared that he wanted to return "home".

The undersigned is also aware that Dr Schwarzenberg has devoted money to various good causes.
