My dear friend,
I have received from you, and from several other parties as well, enquiries concerning Dr Adolf Schwarzenberg. I saw him in New York several times during the war. He is not well - it looks a little like angina pectoris. He has completed a doctorate at Columbia University, which left a great impression on me. As a czechoslovak national he has conducted himself in an exemplary fashion, he reported immediately, he has supported the resistance and I have nothing but praise for his position and actions. He was and is a passionate anti-Nazi. I do not have any more details, nor do I know what his plans are, he only told me that he would like to return. You may use the facts which I have written here as you see fit.
Yours
Jan Masaryk
